Eat That Frog!

Eat That Frog means dealing with the most important task first to get it done.

If “eating a frog” is the ickiest thing you have to get done in a given day, once you accomplish it, you can ease into the knowledge that the hardest task of your day is behind you.

It has been estimated that the tendency to start and stop a task – to pick it up, put it down, and come back to it – can raise the time needed to complete it by 50%. But when you prepare thoroughly and then get after it, staying focused and attentive until the job is done, you experiences success, you experience success and boost your motivation for doing other tasks.

So while Frog isn’t in our Veggies for Breakfast cookbook or one of our top Activate Your Meals tips, it may just be the way to stop dreading your day.

This idea comes to me from productivity trainer and coach Sara Caputo of Radiant Organizing, who referenced the idea from famed business and personal development guru Brian Tracy.
